Fairmont Room - These guestrooms face the interior courtyard in the historic, six-story main building and have one queen bed. They can accommodate a maximum of two guests.

Insider tip: Given its illustrious history, it's worth spending an afternoon exploring the hidden treasures of the Fairmont itself: A room just off the lobby was the spot where the United Nations Charter was drafted in 1945; the Venetian Room, once the city's foremost supper clubs (now a private event space), played host to Nat King Cole and Tony Bennett, and was the place where Bennett first sang I Left My Heart in San Francisco; downstairs, the colorful Deco Cirque Room was the first bar to open in San Francisco after Prohibition; and the hotel's famous Penthouse suite served as home to every U.S. president since William Howard Taft.

Laurel Court - The restored Laurel Court restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner under ornate glass domes. A large lunch buffet features seasonal fruits and salads; at dinner, French-inspired regional cuisine is offered until 10 PM. The Laurel Court Bar features a wide array of single-vineyard wines and a light-fare menu.
Tonga Room and Hurricane Bar - This famous tropical tiki room, where mai tais are king, hosts a boisterous happy hour with a full appetizer buffet and a live band playing on a floating island in the middle of a swimming pool. Also open for dinner, the restaurant features Pacific Rim cuisine with dishes such as Kung Pao chicken and stir-fried Maine lobster.
Espressions - This espresso bar on the terrace level offers beverages, pastries, and light snacks.
