Modeled after the original 1930s Peabody Memphis, this exquisite hotel boasts VIP (Very Important Poultry) mascots in a must-see ritual beginning promptly at 11 AM each day. Crowds of adoring fans gather to watch as the music of John Philip Sousa fills the atrium lobby and the Peabody Ducks march out on a red carpet (rolled out from their private elevator) for an afternoon swim in the marble fountain. The ducks later return to their royal duck palace for evening meal and repose. There are also four lighted, hard-top tennis courts located on the recreation level of the hotel. Professional tennis lessons are available upon request.
