A complete 2001 restoration of the hotel resulted in 551 elegantly furnished guestrooms, with décor that blends historic features with modern amenities.

European room - One double bed.
Deluxe room - One king or queen bed. These rooms have all the standard amenities, as well as spacious closets and CD/radio alarm clocks.
Superior room - Two double beds. Each room has a spacious closet, and many have a workspace separate from the bedroom.
Luxury one-bedroom suite - One queen bed and a separate living area. They tend to be corner rooms and are decorated with informational placards, photographs, and paintings about Boston’s historic figures.

The Last Hurrah - Since the 1800s, this bar has remained popular with Beacon Hill politicians for lunch, dinner, and cocktails. It was moved from the hotel’s basement to street level and now has a lighter, more casual feel than other dining areas in the hotel. It’s a good spot for people-watching on School and Tremont Streets.

Driving directions from Logan International Airport: Follow signs for Sumner Tunnel/Boston. Leaving the tunnel, stay to the right and follow signs to Government Center. The road leads into New Chardon St. At the second light, turn left onto Cambridge St. At the third light, turn left onto School St and continue to the hotel on the right.
